The SNOMED CT Terminology Services Certification (TSC) course teaches the principles of using SNOMED CT terminology services to search and retrieve SNOMED CT content.
This self-paced course includes online presentations, videos and practical exercises using two terminology service APIs - a native SNOMED CT API (Snowstorm), and the standard HL7 FHIR terminology service API.
No prior knowledge of SNOMED CT is needed. However, to effectively participate in the course, you must have an understanding of retrieving, querying and updating data via REST APIs using JSON.
A certification exam is also included at the end of this course, to test your competence in these skills. The exam will be electronically proctored to ensure that all students comply with the certification rules. Students who pass this exam will achieve their SNOMED CT Terminology Services Certification (valid for 3 years).
Please be aware that the content of the Terminology Services Course and its associated certification exam is now outdated and will be withdrawn in the near future. For access to the most current information on terminology services, we recommend enrolling in theImplementation Courseand completing the Terminology Services Module.
While the Terminology Services Course covered introductory content on SNOMED CT, this material is also available in the Foundation Course. Please note that completion of the freeFoundation Courseis a prerequisite for enrolling in the Implementation Course.
If you still wish to take the Terminology Certification Exam, completion of the Terminology Services Course is required.
