SNOMED CT Implementation Course Guide

In this section we will explore the different ways in which you can complete the course.  We have made the course flexible so that it can be taken in a way that's beneficial to the Implementation journey you are on.

Module specific completion:

Do you require knowledge only in a certain area?  Then you are able to go directly to a module and complete only that module(s) to learn about a particular topic.  There is no requirement to complete modules in a certain order (although some recommendations may be given for complimentary modules) as you can pick and choose which modules are relevant to you.  If you complete all the content within a module as well as the practical assignment you can collect a module badge to show your achievement.

Stream completion:

We have organised the modules into what we refer to as learning 'streams'.  We have grouped modules together into general areas of learning.  There are 3 streams: 

• General Implementation & Customization
• EHR Implementation Principles
• Extension Management

You can choose which stream is relevant to your implementation journey or work your way through all three streams.  If you complete all modules in a stream and the stream assessment you can collect a completion certificate in addition to individual module badges to show your level of knowledge. 

Total Course Completion:

If you wish to complete all areas of the course (17 modules and 3 stream assessments) you are then able to collect an overall course completion certificate.
