Introduction To SNOMED International

This presentations provides an introduction to SNOMED International, the organization that owns, maintains and distributes SNOMED CT.

After completing this presentation the student should be able to:

• Describe the products and services delivered by SNOMED International to support SNOMED CT - including maintenance and distribution of the terminology
• Explain the ways in which SNOMED International engages with vendors and the wider community
• Discuss the role of SNOMED International Members in supporting national use of SNOMED CT
